Antique Goldstone Brooch, Sterling Silver, Edwardian
About the Item
A beautiful antique Edwardian silver and goldstone brooch.
An oval goldstone bezel set into a sterling silver setting with an attached silver safety chain.
It has an old C type clasp and pin fastener.
The brooch is Unmarked, early Edwardian era.
Goldstone was a popular material in Victorian and Edwardian jewellery and is man made from glass which has thousands of tiny copper particles within, this gives a lovely rich, warm, sparkly finish, like a copper glitter.
This one is particularly nice as it has a slightly more golden wave running through the middle.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, wear and signs of use commensurate with age.
