Antique Sapphire and Diamond Yellow Gold Brooch / Pendant
About the Item
A stunning, fine and impressive, large 1.55 carat sapphire and 2.20 carat diamond, 10 carat yellow gold and silver set sweetheart brooch/pendant with wings; part of our diverse antique jewellery collections.
This stunning, fine and impressive antique sweetheart brooch/pendant has been crafted in 10 ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The brooch is modelled in the form of a central heart-shaped design with a continuation of two large wing motifs emanating from the heart's interlacing upper portion.
This large antique sweetheart brooch frame is embellished with a total of one-hundred and sixty-five eight cut diamonds, graduating in size depending on the location.
The brooch is further ornamented with a stunning collet set 1.55ct cabochon cut blue sapphire, surmounting the heart design and completing the design.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a detachable hinged pin and C clasp fastening. This versatile brooch may also be worn as a pendant, and is suspended from 18' 18ct white gold curb chain via two integrated loops to the reverse of the frame; if required a chain with ring loop attachments could be provided, allowing the piece to be suspended from the integrated loops at the wing's tips and negating the visible horizontal section of chain.
This stunning brooch/pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 10ct gold and silver.
This stunning antique brooch is supplied with an independent diamond and gemstone grading card.

Condition
This stunning antique pendant/brooch is excellent quality, set with a stunning sapphire displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence.
The impressive high colour graded diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.
The pendant / brooch is an excellent gauge of gold and silver and is in excellent condition.

The impressive circular frame is ornamented with an impressive scalloped decorated border accented with twenty-four Dutch cut diamonds, totalling 0.40Ct. This scalloped design is further ornamented with an entwining inverted-scalloped border incorporating eight impressive individually bezel set square faceted cut sapphires. The anterior face of the 22k yellow gold French coin, set to the centre of the design, depicts the laureate head portrait of Napoleon I with the elucidating text 'NAPOLEON EMPEREUR'. The reverse of the coin displays the value of the piece '20 Francs' and year '1813' with a wreath, encompassed with the text 'EMPIRE FRANCAIS'. The coin bears the mintmark Bayonne (L) which was in use between 1795-1835. The pendant is suspended from a contemporary 18k yellow gold 45.72cm/18" trace chain via an integrated, hinged ring loop attachment. The chain secures with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening. This versatile pendant is fitted with an integrated hinged pin and clasp to the reverse to allow it to be worn as a brooch if so desired.
