Early 1800s Padlock Pendant Brooch, Hair under glass, Natural pearls, turquoise

About the Item

Cute little piece from the early nineteenth century! This padlock features a small glass window, most likely for featuring hair-work, surrounded by gorgeously lustrous pearls and a couple turquoise cabochons. This piece has most likely been converted several times, it features a classic latched pin pack as well as two jump rings on both sides of the frame, maybe from a previous chain. There's also a bail at the top so the piece can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch.
