Edwardian (Belle Epoque) Diamond and Pearl Bar Brooch (Early 20th C)
Strikingly distinctive Edwardian-era beauty, expertly hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold during the first decade of the twentieth century, measures just a smidgen shy of 6.4 cm (2.52 inches long).
Hand fabricated in platinum over 18K gold, circa 1905. The elegantly tapered design centers on a lustrous white pearl (presumably natural saltwater) accentuated on each side with two old European-cut diamonds with diameters ranging from 5.20mm to 5.58mm (approx. 0.72cts and 0,70cts respectively), and embellished in between with a graceful, neoclassical, hand pierced foliate pattern with 24 old small diamonds, Total diamond weight, 2.20 carats (color H-I; clarity VS-SI).
Pearl details: Shape round. Measurement diameter 6.6mm. Color: White with pink overtone.
