Edwardian Diamond Horseshoe Brooch
About the Item
Here we have a lovely diamond brooch dating back to the Edwardian period. This antique piece has been crafted from 18ct yellow gold into the shape of a horseshoe. The main open frame plays host to an array of individually milgrain set round faceted old cut diamonds which graduate in size towards the centre. Concave swirling motifs set with smaller matching diamonds sweep intermittently in between providing the illusion of flailing ribbon. All stones here have been set in platinum before the piece made complete with a locking safety catch fastening on the reverse side.
