Edwardian Diamond and Natural Pearl Bow Brooch - GIA
About the Item
Feminine and lovely, this enchanting Edwardian brooch centers on lustrous natural pearl, accompanied by a GIA certificate, elegantly wrapped like a bonbon in flowing diamond lined ribbons. A lovely antique jewel.
Diamonds: estimated .50 total carats, single, perruzzi and rose cut diamonds
Pearl: GIA Certificate states white natural saltwater pearl, pinctada species 17.62 x 8.35 x 7.90mm, some crazing
Metal: platinum with 18k pin (French import owl mark)
Weight: 7.7 grams
Measurements: 1 13/16" x 1 1/16"
Notes: This brooch likely had a swag that was removed in antiquity. An old restoration to the center of one of the larger bows can be seen under magnification.
