Edwardian Turquoise, Pearl, and Diamond Brooch
About the Item
An Edwardian turquoise, pearl and diamond brooch, to the centre with an oval diamond-set flower set with a pearl, surrounded by twenty one cabochon turquoises, suspending an articulated pearl drop and surmounted by a diamond-set bow, mounted in circa 1900, measuring 3.2 x 3cm, gross weight 4.3 grams.
An exquisite Edwardian brooch. This lovely piece features an oval of vivid turquoise surrounding a pearl which is set in an openwork design set with diamonds. Surrounding the central oval are further pearls and a feminine diamond set bow, emblematic of the period. This charming brooch comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and would look perfect pinned to a scarf or lapel.
This antique brooch is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as silver and 18ct gold, with 9ct gold pin.
