About the Item
This Fig Brooch is made of 18 karat white gold with amethyst. The collection was featured in a Harper's Bazaar UA editorial.
The fig fruit is a unique, hand-crafted sculpture of the sweetest southern fig, which grows on the elegant twigs of a tree with long needles and leaves. Figs typically have a tender green or rose tone when the fruits are green, but some turn a dusty dark purple-black, especially when exposed to the sun.
The elegant and precise needle design refers to the traditional calligraphy principle of 'lines and spots'. This pendant is contemporary jewelry with a slight Art Nouveau attitude.
The Fig collection is designed by oil painter Polya Medvedeva.

One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
