Sometimes you come across pieces of jewelry that are pure works of art, this outstanding Indian head clip / pendant combination is one of them. It truly is stunning in person. The beauty of this set is that it can be worn in a multitude of ways as the clip detaches from the necklace. This fine brooch has a pierced decorated elliptical frame, displaying two floral motifs. The brooch is ornamented to the center with an impressive bezel set cabochon cut opal. This stunning central gemstone is flanked with flower motifs, each ornamented to the center with a claw set Old European cut diamond. Each diamond is encircled by six individually set cabochon cut opals, completing the cluster designs. The elliptical frame conjoining each floral cluster is embellished with two claw set round faceted cut rubies to the center of the arch. The Victorian bar brooch features an individual eight claw set round faceted cut ruby decorated terminal to either end. The brooch secures with a hinged pin and clasp to the reverse. The brooch is fitted to an impressive hinged leatherette presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. This opal brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 karat gold.
