Mid-19th Century Gold and Enamelled Brooch with Miniature
About the Item
Oval hand painted miniature mounted in gold enamelled brooch. The frame is in gold and enamelled with fine black enamel threads. The high-quality miniature shows a young man in a brown suit, black collar and bow. The jacket is open over a white shirt adorned with a gold tie pin. The background suggests clouds. The miniature is closed at the back with a plaque.
