French Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Bar Brooch
About the Item
Both elegant and pristine, this French Art Deco brooch centers on a scintillating .85 carat (VS1 / G-H) marquise-cut diamond bordered by seamlessly-set natural blue sapphires that flow into a gently graduated line of brilliant blue sapphires, framed in sparkling single-cut diamonds. Masterfully hand fabricated in platinum finished with migrain edges. Numbered with a partial maker's mark, possibly Lucien Secouet. A magnificent jewel.
Diamonds: .80 total carats in single cut diamonds, .85 carat marquise-cut VS1 clarity with G-H range in color.
Sapphires: 4.50 total carats, natural sapphires
Weight: 9.5 grams
Measurements: 2 7/8" x 6/16"
Markings: Possibly Lucien Secouet LS above left facing arrow, 5222
Condition note: Sapphires show wear commensurate with age of piece.
