Introducing the exquisite 1960s signed Georges Lenfant dress clip/Brooch of Mr D Duck with attitude. This brooch is a masterpiece of jewellery design, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship and artistic vision of Georges Lenfant - one of the more prolific and most talented, jewellers of the early 20th century. He designed for the top Parisian houses including Van Cleef, Mellerio dits Meller, and Cartier, for whom he was a Workmaster. The brooch has been realistically modelled on a charming duck with attitude, and skillfully rendered in 18k yellow gold. The duck head has been designed with a gold textured effect to give the impression of tiny feathers; it is then accented with a polished gold beak and beautifully adorned with a cabochon sapphire eye. The piece is set with a large ovoid faceted orange-brown citrine (measuring approximately 1.35" length x 1.07" width), forming the main body, with a mounting of yellow gold, which radiates warmth and brilliance with their rich golden hues. The detailing, which extends to the tail of individual feathers, and its feet with webbing, is nothing short of exceptional. Rich textured 18k gold is accented with a 18k white gold bow tie to express a playful glamour to this charming brooch.
