About the Item

Chinoiserie brooch from the mid-century period. Beautiful three-dimensional piece created in Italy during the mid-century period, circa 1960's. This brooch has been crafted with chinoiserie patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and is suited, with a hinged vertical pin to wear as a brooch. This can be also used as a pendant. The main element is the carved piece of natural coral, depicting the elongated portrait face of a bald and bearded monk, with closed eyes. Have a total weight of 11.5 Grams and a measures of 46 mm by 17.5 mm (1.81 x 0.67 Inches). Note: The coral is natural, not dyed, even in color with no spots and from the Sardinia region in southern Italy. It is in perfect condition and lustrous. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold.
