One 18k yellow gold hand carved shell cameo depicting the antique Greek theme of the “Three Muses”. Gold pin, roller catch, and collapsible pendant runner.

Era: Late 20th Century
The location and inspiration behind the first cameo is unfortunately unknown. Although many historians believe that it was in either Greece or Rome, where they were originally carved from stone such as agate, onyx, sardonyx, carnelian, coral, lava and jet. Many wore these as a symbol of status.
