Late Deco 1.80ct Ruby and Diamond Flower Brooch, c.1940s

About the Item

This stunning Flower brooch was crafted in the 1940s and features vibrant rubies and diamonds to bring the design to life. The main stalk and flower design is crafted from 18 carat rose gold. Set atop the three flowers, depicting the flower’s petals and across the bottom ribbon are a total of 1.80 carat in rubies. Entwining around the stalks and encircling the ruby petals, rows of eight cut diamond set into platinum add beautiful detailing, truly bringing the piece to life. The diamonds total 0.60 carat and have been estimated G in colour and VS in clarity. Finishing the design a ribbon of 18 carat gold creates the look of a beautifully prepared bouquet. A double pin back keeps this wonderful brooch firmly in place. Gemstone: Ruby Stone Shape: Old Cut Carat Weight: 1.80 Metal: 18ct Rose Gold, 18ct Yellow Gold, Platinum Age: 1940s
