A stunning 18k Gold & Rock Crystal Brooch, Circa 1940.
The brooch is design as a stylized 'Doorknocker', displaying a wonderful contrast between rock crystal and yellow gold.
A rare piece from Mellerio dits Meller, the oldest Jewelry house of place Vendôme. Very elegant to wear on a jacket, like shown on pictures attached.

Good condition, with signs of normal wear
Mellerio is the 1rst jewelry house that decided to establish its workshop Place Vendome, Working at the time for the most important royal collections. Soon, they were joined by Boucheron, Cartier, Chaumet, Van Cleef & Arpels, all the brands that still make history of French Mastering in Jewellery.
