A Pearl, Diamond And Emerald Duck Head Stick-pin

About the Item

An Early 20th century pearl, diamond and emerald duck head stick-pin, the head of the duck formed of a baroque pearl, with a diamond inlayed eye, the beak made of yellow gold, the collar set with five old-cut diamonds and four calibre-cut emeralds, mounted in yellow gold and platinum, bearing Austro-Hungarian gold hallmarks for 14ct gold, circa 1910, measuring 1.2 x 1.2cm, the pin measuring 6.1cm long, gross weight 2.4 grams. This antique pin is in very good condition for its age. Marked and tested as 14ct gold and platinum, with 14ct gold pin. A lustrous pearl duck head stickpin. This whimsical stickpin features a baroque pearl, which contrasts to the dazzling oldcut diamonds which form the neck and are ornated by four calibre cut emeralds. This charming stickpin comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and would look perfect attaching a to a silk tie or the lapel of a jacket.
