About the Item
Raymond Templier delicate and refined art deco brooch with a geometric design in platinum set with a piece of frosted crystal, topped on each side with transparent crystal and in its center a pattern in black enamel and a row of 8 round-cut diamonds.
Signed Raymond Templier, French hallmark.
Made in 1929.
Dimensions: 6 X 2 cm.

About the Raymond Templier :
Raymond Templier (1891-1968), French jeweler and designer well known by collectors, was nicknamed "the jewel sculptor". He is one of the great creators of the Art Deco period.
Some of his creations can be found at the Museum of Modern Art and Decorative Arts in Paris, as well as at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
His work is at the forefront of his time, his creations mix rigorous geometric shapes with a touch of fantasy while remaining within the codes of Art Deco.
His work was recognized and in 1938 he was made a knight of the Legion of Honor.
