About the Item
A retro natural untreated jade and diamond butterfly brooch, circa 1960.
This fun and vibrant brooch features two intricately carved wings of natural untreated 'imperial green coloured' jadeite set either side of the butterfly's diamond body, comprising of an oval, marquise and pear cut diamond. The brooch is finished with two round brilliant cut diamond set antennae set in 18 karat yellow gold atop a jade bead head.
The entire brooch in perfectly mounted into a light and delicate open yellow gold fretwork featuring a pin and barrel fastening. Stamped 750 to its reverse.
Accompanied by a gem report from Gemological Certification Services on London's Bond Street stating that the jadeite is natural and free from enhancement.

Diamonds: 0.35 carats estimated as H colour VS1 clarity
18 karat yellow gold

Condition Overall the condition of the brooch is very good, with some slight abrasions to the surface of the yellow gold in keeping with its general age.
