Magnificent example of Victorian sentimental brooch, dated 1888 engraved on the backside – bearing French import duty marks
Glorious artwork skillfully hand crafted of solid 18 KT rose gold and silver
Two large hearts as symbol of eternal love meet in the middle, set in a border of twinkling rose cut Diamonds and surround of fine openwork scrolls with a little bow symbolizing enduring bounding at the bottom side with little suspended pearl as finial - backside is exquisitely engraved with Victoire and Marie full names and date bearing the brooch back history
The two heart shaped Red Garnets are 39.00 carats for both (19.3 x 16.8 mm. average) beautiful red color much nicer than shown, sorry for camera reflections
