An outstanding Victorian scarab ring from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. During the mid-Victorian era, archaeological excavations gave rise to a renewed interest in the ancient world. This ring is inspired by the ancient Egyptian scarab beetle motif. The beetle is made from a single impressive and glowing cabochon garnet set with glittering diamond details on its body and bright ruby eyes. This ring is bold and eye-catching on the finger and is a splendid example of Egyptian revival Victorian craftsmanship.
The finger size of most of our rings can be adjusted and our workshop will be happy to do this free of charge. If you do not know your finger size please request us to post you a finger measure.
Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
