Made in 1961 and modelled as a mallard duck, the animal’s body in textured gold with a polished tail, the head and feet embellished with a Florentine finish, further accented with circular ruby and diamond eyes. This jewel is secured to reverse with a hinged pin and roller clasp fitting. Diamonds: six stones; single-cut; estimated 0.05 carats in total. Rubies: estimated 0.02 carats in total. Maker’s mark “BRLD” for Ben Rosenfeld; date letter “m” for 1961; London hallmark for 18kt gold. Dimensions: 4.6 x 3.0 cm. Gross Weight: 13.90g. Ben Rosenfeld was a British jewelry designer based in Hatton Garden, trading from around 1959 until 1987.
