Carter Gough & Co Art Deco rock crystal sapphire and gold gentleman’s dress set circa 1930. Comprising a pair of double faced, faceted and frosted rock crystal cufflinks and four shirt studs, each centering a bezel-set, cabochon, blue sapphire, within a conforming, slightly concave, circular motif, frosted on the rock crystal, to the faceted octagonal borders, mounted in 14-karat gold, with maker’s marks for Carter Gough & Co. We love that although this is a vintage Art Deco dress set, we can’t help smiling with pleasure we savor the sweet spot for realizing that it is right on cue for today’s modern life style. This is classic, refined masculine elegance! The set reminds us of the kind of accessory that would be worn by icons of sartorial elegance like Fred Astaire or 007, to name a couple, one real; the other fictional, but you get the picture.
