Described as an "elegant revolutionary", John Donald gained international acclaim in the 1960's when Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret purchased his glamorous, modern jewels following an introduction by Anthony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon. Examples of his work are also in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Museum of Scotland and the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
