Mid-Century Modern Cufflinks in Yellow Gold by Danish Goldsmith John Rørvig

About the Item

Fantastic and extremely rare cufflinks by John Rørvig of Copenhagen. Rendered in solid, 14K yellow gold, the cufflinks are in excellent vintage condition and come with their original, fitted box. The cufflink faces measure 26.6mm long and taper from 13.4mm down to a point. They have hinged backs, making them easy to insert and remove from the buttonholes. Together the pair weighs a very substantial 18.71 grams. Each cufflink is signed JOHN RØRVIG and 585 indicating the gold content. As one indication of the thought that went into their design, the cufflinks are symmetrical rather than identical. A superb accessory for any collector of mid-20th Century Scandinavian design.
