About the Item
Clip on earrings designed by Andrew Clunn.
Great pair of ear-clips, created in New York city at the jewelry atelier of Andrew Clunn. These pieces has been crafted with hammered patterns in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted at the reverse, with a pair of comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.
Diamonds: Mounted in pave settings, with 40 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.20 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 clarity.
Pearl: Mount in the center, with 2 Mabe round white pearl of 14 mm.
Birthstone: Pearls for the month of June.
Weight: 33.95 Grams, (21.76 Dwt).
Measurements: 35 mm by 27 mm (1.38 x 1,06 Inches).
Hallmarks Both are stamped with the maker's mark, the marks for the assay of the gold and the platinum and signed, "A. CLUNN 18KT PLAT".
Andrew Clunn
He was born in England and moved to the United States where he worked as an apprentice to David Webb from 1963 until Webb’s death in 1975. During his 12 years of apprenticeship, he became a trusted employee and eventually become Webb's right hand man and worked with well-known clients including Elizabeth Taylor and the Duchess of Windsor. In 1980, Clunn opened his own jewelry studio on Madison Avenue in New York City specializing in unique and distinctive jewelry designs for distinguished families in Europe and North America. He died in February 2016 in Rye,
