Pair of earrings designed by Bry & Co. of Paris.
An unusual and one-of-a-kind pair, made in Paris France in the 1970's. They was crafted Bry & Co. in solid yellow gold of18 karats, with the surfaces finished in high polish. Suited with French omega backs for fastening clips and can be easily converted for pierced ears adding a pair of posts.
The interesting fact of this pair is, they are mounted with 4 natural claws placed geometrically into the gold frames.
Have a total weight of 21.95 grams and a measures of 35 mm (1.38 inches) by 18 mm. (0.70 inch).
They are both stamped with beautiful French hallmarks; two times with the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche and signed, "BRY PARIS .750 SDGD".
Bry & Co. Created in 1937 by Monsieur René Bry, under the name of Ateliers de Joaillerie René Bry (Jewelry workshops René Bry), the Bry & Co house is one of the most prestigious addresses of Parisian jewelry, in particular after 1944, when the eponymous boutique opened rue de la Paix.
What made the renown of the boutique in the 60s is undoubtedly the references to nature, symbolized by the “Wheat Sheaf “ collection, then the creations inspired by hunting, representing animal patterns. A collection combining gold and elephant hairs launched in 1967 achieved an impressive success worldwide.
