Modernist earrings designed by Spritzer & Furhmann.
Stunning sculptural pair of clips earrings, created for the jewelers and retailers Spritzer & Furhmann, back in the late 1960. This pair has been crafted with modernist geometric patterns, composed by multiples little squares volumes, in solid yellow gold of 18 karats. They are finished with high polish and are fitted with posts (removable) for pierced ears and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips.
Tiger Eye: Mounted in inlaid settings, with 2 flat cabochon cut (7 x 13 x 1 mm) carved from natural tiger eye.
Birthstone: Tiger eye for the month of August.
Weight: 25.95 Grams, (16.64 Dwt).
Measurements: 26 mm by 19 mm (1.02 x 0.75 Inches).
Hallmarks Stamped with the maker's mark SF associated to Spritzer & Furhmann., the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "SF .750".
Spritzer & Fuhrmann
This was a New York-based jewelry firm that operated from 1941 to 1955. The company was founded by Paul Spritzer and Paul Fuhrmann, who were both experienced jewelers. Their jewelry was known for its use of colorful and exotic gemstones, as well as its intricate designs. Today, Spritzer & Fuhrmann jewelry is highly collectible and sought after by vintage jewelry enthusiasts. The Spritzer & Fuhrmann group was a household name in the last century, not only in the Antilles, but also in many other countries. At the height of their existence, the company employed 32 businesses and more than 500 people. In addition to the extensive jewelry and watch collection, she was also known for the beautiful collection of crystal and porcelain from the best European brands, such as: Daum, Lalique, Orrefors and Wedgewood. In addition to the jewelery and gift shops, there were the optics shops, an own goldsmith shop, watch repairs and the decoration department where, among other things, the packaging material was made, such as the exceptionally beautiful boxes and boxes for gifts to the royal family and other guests of the island.
