21st Century 18 Karat Gold Pearl Sapphire Diamond and Real Orchid Drop Earrings
About the Item
Multiple pairs of earrings in one! These convertible dragonfly and real orchid drop earrings in pearl, sapphire, diamond and 18-karat yellow gold have been masterfully created by hand. They also easily transform into a second pair, which means they can be worn as two different matching sets, or asymmetrically. They convert by removing the sapphires and pearl in the blink of an eye with a simple hook and loop hidden in the back of the flower.
Each earring features the entire bloom of an actual orange orchid captured at the moment of its perfection and transformed to preserve its beauty for eternity. The flower supports a delicate diamond-set dragonfly, and a black pearl drops below, suspended by an irregular line of blue, green, orange, smoky grey and pink sapphires in various cuts and sizes.
A spark of brilliant diamond punctuates the delicacy of the dragonfly's wings and draws the eye in to reveal the intricate details of its body.
An objet d'art as well as a jewel, these earrings were inspired by and made directly from the brilliance and wonder of the natural world. Their total length is approximately 9.5 centimetres. The photographed earrings have fishhook backs but it is possible to recreate the earrings with posts or with French clips if you prefer: once customized, they are no longer returnable.

The FANCS V workshop is situated in the heart of Sicily's capital city, Palermo. The jeweller is a three-generation Sicilian family business owned and run by Simona Elia and her husband Natale Vitale. Created by Natale's grandfather, FANCS V has grown from a goldsmith shop into a design studio where Simona, who trained in Milan, contributes signature collections to complement the custom pieces Natale produces for a dedicated client base. For FANCS V, happiness is defined by the moment you receive your jewel and fall in love with it. Look for the company code PA266 stamped into all gold pieces, which indicate their authenticity.
