AJD Elegant Carnelian and Smoky Quartz Dangle Earrings
About the Item
Elegant dangle earrings of sparkling orange Carnelian and warm Smoky Quartz. These lovley gemstones come straight from one of our favorite vendors in the heart of Brazil. They hang 1.5 inches in length and have a post and butterfly back. The gemstones are set in a one of a kind handmade Sterling Silver setting from that very same Brazilian vendor.
The warm red of carnelian gemstones has been known for centuries around the world and used for jewelry to promote health and luck. Carnelian is a type of chalcedony.
Smoky Quartz is a variant of the Quartz mineral family which ranges in color from a light gray to darker gray/brown/black and can be transparent to barely translucent. It is the national gem of Scotland, and sacred to the Druids in Celtic cultures. Hecate, the ancient Greek goddess was also associated with Smoky Quartz. Smoky Quartz is thought to help one become balanced and grounded especially with a chaotic life. ME2211

With over 20 years of experience and a passion for travel, Martha and Kathy create bespoke jewelry with curated gemstones from their adventures around the world. Martha lived in Brazil for over 15 years and her travels have taken her to various mining regions within Brazil, South Africa, and the Far East to examine and handpick the gemstones for the Aria Collections. Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
