Handwoven three-dimensional eye made with terracotta brown, gold Japanese seed bead and vintage ivory cats eye bead as pupil. Adorned with precious stones agate and freshwater cultivated pearl sticks. Cleopatra's Eye earring is inspired by Queen Cleopatra of Egypt(51-30BCE) herself, she like no other woman of antiquity came to represent the prototype of female leader and a romantic femme fatal, she may have been more renowned for her intellect than her appearance. Her leadership showed skilled use of public communication and diplomacy which she used to prevent the fall of Egypt to the Roman Empire. Cleopatra believed herself to be a living goddess and her influence lives on today.
