Folded Ribbon Earrings with Oversized Baroque Pearls
About the Item
Folded Ribbon Earrings are designed to pay homage to the ancient tradition of tying ribbons and cloths to trees in Anatolia. This practice, known as "wish-making," is rooted in the belief that the natural world is full of spiritual power and that by attaching ribbons and cloths to trees, people can connect with that power and make their wishes come true. The act of tying a ribbon or cloth to a tree is considered a form of shamanic practice, and it is believed that the tree spirits will hear the wishes and grant them. Folded Ribbon Earrings are a reminder of the spiritual significance of nature and the belief in the power of wishes, making the wearer feel connected to the natural world and to the spirits that are believed to inhabit it.
The Folded Ribbon Earrings are hand-made in NYC from recycled sterling silver, finished with 18k gold vermeil. Please note that each pearl is unique and may differ in terms of shape and size.
