Pair of Edwardian Natural Pearl and Diamond Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Edwardian natural pearl and diamond drop earrings, each consisting of a natural pearl surrounded by thirteen old brilliant-cut diamonds, suspended from a line of seven rose-cut diamonds in a rub-over setting, suspended by a single natural pearl collet set, total approximate diamond weight 0.9 carats all mounted in platinum, to a screw clip post fitting, circa 1910, the cluster measuring approximately 1cm in diameter, the earring measuring approximately 3.6cm long, gross weight 4.5 grams.

A beautiful pair of pearl and diamond earrings from the Edwardian era, part of the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. Light and delicate, these earrings were designed to move and sway with the lighter fashions of this period.
