Valerie Jo Coulson, Artist Jeweler, is an award winning and internationally acclaimed jewelry designer/maker. As a lifelong student of the Arts and Art History, Valerie Jo's work is steeped in passion for the power which art communicates and inspires; all with an eye on beauty and excellance of craftsmanship. Recognized as a master of design, metal fabrication and stone inlay, her works of jewelry and objets d'art are one of a kind created soley by the artist's hand with a few exceptions where an element of design may be cast and created in a small limited edition. Primarily self taught in the artform, Valerie Jo has practiced for over 35 years. A five time winner of The Saul Bell Design Awards and member of the American Jewelry Design Council, her work is in private and permanent collections including the Museum of Fine Art Boston and published in numerous print platforms including most recently, 'BBeyond Jewellery, Spectacular and Collectible Pieces' by BBeyond Books. “The defining thread of my beliefs and transcription through my work is woven within the philosophy of Sacred Geometry…the interconnectedness and inseparability of the part from the whole.
