About

Circa 1880s, 15k, England. These antique drop earrings are charming examples of the Etruscan revival movement in Victorian England. The graceful articulated teardrops are profusely ornamented with granulation, rope twists, rubies and pearls. The result is a look that is also delightfully Byzantine. Excellent condition. Noted: Replaced ear wires.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: “Etruscan, Byzantine, Bohemian… I love it all mixed, matched, coordinated, worn ironically… fashion is the art we give away every day to everyone we meet.”
