About the Item

A pair of amazing vintage earrings from ca. 1970s in tested solid 18K Yellow Gold. Each earring is built of three hinged and mobile sections decorated with natural Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, Tourmalines and cultured Pearls . Each earring is 37 mm long. Not hallmarked, metal tested solid 18K Gold. 20 Diamonds: two larger Ø 3mm/ 0.11 ct. each + 18 diamonds Ø 1.5mm/ 0.015 ct. each. Total weight of Diamonds ca.0.5 ctw. Color F, G/VS Four Tourmalines of dark Red color cut cabochon, bezel set Ø 4mm / ca.0.3 ct. each/ 1.2ctw total. Sixteen pave set Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds Ø 2mm / 0.04 ct. each / total: 0.64 ctw. Total weight of all stones: ca. 2.34ctw. Mabe Pearls Ø 10mm. Used in fine condition. A few small diamonds show tiny chips on the facets. Hand-making perfect pave settings for small diamonds on convex surfaces under magnification is a difficult task that requires specific tools + a lot of skill in general and minor errors may occur even when works a pro.. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
