Boar Tusk and Sterling Earrings by Chicago Jeweler Theodore Drendel
About the Item
These dramatic earrings by Chicago jeweler Ted Drendel beautifully combine ancient and modern elements. The fierce looking boar tusks are countered by the whimsical, irregular coils from which they hang. Boar tusks have various significance in many different cultures across the world, including the belief that they can bring the wearer happiness and prosperity.
The earrings measure approximately 1 1/8" wide x 1/2" deep x 4 1/4" long, not including the ear wires.

- Condition:Repaired: it appears that a crack may have been glued to stabilize it, as there is no apparent separation. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. some cracks and minor surface losses to the tusks, uneven oxidation to sterling.
