Eighteen Karat Yellow Gold Cocktail Earrings with Blue Topazes and Diamonds
About the Item
These Fig cocktail earrings with cabochon blue topazes drops are in 18 karat yellow gold. They were designed by Polya Medvedeva, an artist from Berlin who drew inspiration from the sweet and fresh fragrances of fig to create a jewellery collection. The earrings feature detachable cabochon drops that are open to the light, allowing the beautiful colour to shine through. The earrings were featured in Vogue UA.
The simple and contemporary design of the shining gold fig gives the piece a modern feel, while the large gemstones and clean lines keep it looking classy and perfect for a cocktail party. The cabochon smoky quartz drops can add a touch of spaciness to a strict black dress, or shift to elegance when paired with a colourful outfit.
In ancient myths, fig was considered a sacred tree and was often associated with the forbidden apples in the bible. The cognac colour of the gemstones also adds a touch of grunge to these earrings.

One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
