Pair of Art Deco Style Pearl and Diamond Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Art Deco style pearl and diamond drop earrings, each earring with a barrel-shaped openwork diamond-set plaque, centrally set with a line of baguette-cut diamonds within circular-cut diamond-set borders, suspended from a single diamond and terminating to a natural pearl drop, the diamonds diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat in total, all millegrain-set to platinum with post and scroll back fitting, circa 1950, measuringa approximately 2.5 x 0.6cm, gross weight 3.2 grams.
These magnificent pair of pearl and diamond earrings from the Art Deco era are part of the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. With a pearl suspended from a dazzling geometric diamond framework, these beautiful earrings are a wonderful display of art deco design. These earrings would be a wonderful day to day pair or dressed with a formal outfit.
This vintage pair of earrings is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum.
