Emeralds are as shimmering and magical as new growth in Spring and these Contemporary Colombian Emerald Diamond Halo Graduated Drop Earrings, made in the 21st century, feature the verdant stones in all their glory. The resplendent pair of drops is crafted in platinum and features 8 round faceted green emeralds with an estimated weight of 10.85 carats total. The gemstones are accompanied by reports from C. Dunaigre stating that they are natural beryl type emeralds with a vivid green color and high degree of transparency of Colombian origin with minor to insignificant clarity enhancement. Emeralds are commonly clarity enhanced as most contain surface reaching features due to their growth conditions in nature and recovery methods.
These 8 lovely emeralds delicately graduate in size, ranging from 5.91 x 6.06 x 3.44 mm at the top to 8.75 x 8.83 x 5.88 mm at the bottom. Each stone is accented within a double halo of round brilliant-cut diamonds which not only dazzle at the front, but all around the sizes as well. The total weight of diamonds is an estimated 5.00 carats. The magnificent medallions are each connected with a simple short post, articulated at top and bottom for maximum movement and sparkle.
