Vintage Large Gold Panther Hoop Earrings, attributed to Givenchy

About the Item

VERY BREEZY presents: these large vintage 1970s hoops are a wow moment. They are not signed, but Givenchy made many variations of this style in the early 1970s, and they are hallmarked with a patent for a hinged clip-on clasp that was used by Givenchy and other high-end costume jewelry during this era, so I can confidently say they are either 1970s Givenchy or another notable designer from the same era. They feature a panther head with rhinestone eyes and huge gold hoops. Speaking of that aforementioned patent: despite their size, these are designed to be lightweight and are very comfortable to wear, with a lever clip-on back that doesn't pinch yet stays firmly put. They measure 3.5" long x 2 7/8" wide. Great vintage condition.
