0.71ct Pear Shaped Diamond : SI2/SI3 H-I Loose Perfect for an Engagement Ring
About the Item
Here is another items pulled from the back of our vault and hasn't seen the light of day for decades. This 0.71ctt, Pear Shaped Diamond, has a Clarity of SI2-SI3 and a Color of H/I. It was set in an engagement setting in the past but when the price of gold went up, this diamond was removed from ring and the ring was melted for it's gold content and value. The ring and diamond were new back when this item was appraised in 2003. Diamonds have increased since the appraisal, and the value displayed on the appraisal is way off. In fact, the price of gold in 2003 when the appraisal was created, at the close of the gold market on April 17, 2003 it was ONLY $327. Today, as of writing this description, the price of gold is $2349. The second page of the appraisal pertains to the gold Tiffany mounting that this diamond had been set in.
If you are seeking an engagement ring, this will easily fit into the appropriate pear shaped mounting. We can assist you with that or you can have it set locally - but first you need the diamond!
Difficult to obtain good photos of the diamond, so we apologize. You can see the dispersion/fire in the photos which shows up as various colors.
We are going to offer this Diamond at the appraised price back in 2003, which is 21 years ago!
