Natural solid 4.92 Ct Gem Crystal Angel Wings Opal mined by Sue Cooper

About the Item

This 4.92 Ct natural Australian gem crystal opal, carved into a pair of angel wings, is a truly exceptional addition to any collection, mined by Sue Cooper herself. Its rarity, coupled with the amazing winged carving, captivates connoisseurs with its rainbow colours. Mined at Sue’s Russells opal mine in western Queensland, Australia, in 2023, this opal gem is a remarkable find. What distinguishes it is its origin: formed within a void, likely left by a decaying tree branch or root, it underwent a rare transformation into an opalized replica of a branch or a ‘jelly mould fossil’. Though some opalized branches from the Russell’s mine are quite large, Sue has expertly identified smaller translucent and transparent gem-quality pieces deserving of expert carving. Owning this opal is not just an opportunity to acquire a unique signature piece; it's an opportunity to hold the enduring beauty of Earth's geological wonders in the palm of your hand. Don't miss the opportunity to own this rare masterpiece, where the whispers of millennia past are captured in a piece that transcends time. Additional notes: Each wing is approx. 8 (W) x 19.7 (L) x 2.8 (D) mm.

Loose Amethyst Weight: 9.05 Carats Dimension: 15.1x12.3x7.3 Mm Origin: Brazil Shape: Cushion Color: Purple Treatment: Non Certificate: On Customer Demand Amethyst, a stunning purple-hued quartz, is a beloved gemstone coveted for its beauty and metaphysical properties. Its name is derived from the Greek word "amethystos," meaning "not intoxicated," as ancient Greeks believed it had the power to protect one from drunkenness. This gemstone is prized for its color variations, ranging from pale lilac to deep violet, and its transparent to translucent appearance. The rich purple hue is attributed to iron impurities within the quartz crystal structure. Beyond its aesthetic allure, amethyst is associated with numerous spiritual and healing properties. It's believed to promote calmness, balance emotions, and enhance spiritual awareness. Many people use amethyst for meditation, believing it aids in clearing the mind and fostering a deeper connection to the spiritual realm. Throughout history, amethyst has held significance across various cultures. In ancient times, Egyptians and Romans adorned jewelry and amulets with amethyst, associating it with protection, clarity of thought, and warding off negativity. Additionally, it was considered a symbol of royalty and used in crowns and scepters of monarchs. Geographically, notable deposits of amethyst can be found in countries like Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia, and Russia, among others. The gem's availability in different regions contributes to its global popularity in jewelry-making and spiritual practices. From delicate earrings to statement necklaces, amethyst remains a popular choice for jewelry enthusiasts and collectors alike. Its vibrant color and purported metaphysical properties continue to captivate individuals seeking both beauty and spiritual resonance in their gemstone choices. In conclusion, amethyst stands...
