About the Item
'Because you deserve to own Pearls'
Custom made necklace of silver iridescent Baroque Freshwater Pearls with Diamond accented Rondelles. These gorgeous iridescent pearls flash pinks and yellows and have a wonderful luster. These pearls are from a second harvest which means that one pearl has already been removed from the mollusk and then the mollusk was returned to the water to produce another. The lobster claw clasp is studded with diamond chips as are the five sterling silver rondelles in the front of this unique 17 inch necklace. The pearls measure approximately 12x10mm. Black spinels are also used as accents in this one-of-a-kind necklace. Pearls are Mother Nature’s gift from the Sea. They are organic gemstones formed inside either freshwater or saltwater mollusks. The type of mollusk producing the pearl influences the body color. Most mollusks have been assisted by the insertion of a bit natural material inserted into its shell around which it can lay down layers of nacre. These cultured pearls come in a variety of natural colors including gold, white, gray, black, and blue. Then they have the lovely iridescent hues of all the rainbow colors. Pearls can also be bleached and dyed to create just about any color you desire. Pearls are soft and absorbent so be gentle with them. They are the traditional June birthstone as well as gifts for brides.
