About the Item
Long very smart single strand sautoir of multi cut faceted beautiful rich colored amethysts accented with brilliantly colored turquoise beads flanked with pear shaped black cultured freshwater pearls. The whole necklace has matte gold finish metal angular faceted beads throughout.
This stunning color combination was famously incorporated into a magnificent necklace and bracelet made by the French house of Cartier for the late Duchess of Windsor in the 1960’s. The piece is now in the Cartier Collection.
This is a versatile piece which is fun to wear either as a long sautoir or equally attractive when doubled.
