About the Item
Exceptionally luxurious, these shimmering and verdant chrome diopside beads are utterly unexpected. These richly colored gemstone beads are an exquisitely vivid green color, and each bead features a mix of opaque and transparent material. There are gorgeous patches of a shimmering chatoyance scattered throughout. These gemstones are striking and truly unique.
These beads are connected with elegant 18kt gold links, and finished with a handmade 18kt toggle clasp. The toggle is set with two beautiful tsavorite garnets which compliment the chrome diopside color perfectly.

ABOUT THE GEMSTONE
A fairly recent addition to the gemstone record, chrome diopside is a variety of the diopside family which is colored by the presence of chromium. Chromium frequently plays an interesting role in gemstone coloration, and in diopside it is responsible for a vibrant and rich green hue. Important sources today include Tanzania and Russia, though minor deposits have been found elsewhere around the world.
