Ford & Forlano Sculptural Squiggle Bead Necklace, 1980's
About the Item
David Forlano & Steve Ford began their artistic collaboration in the 1980's with a design philosophy of creating unique pieces that combine upscale craft and organic aesthetics. This fun 'Squiggle' necklace is composed of hand-formed polymer clay beads with gold leafed spacers on a 2-ply silk cord. The necklace is designed without a closure and the opera length allows it to be twisted, doubled and manipulated to create many shapes and looks. And when you are not wearing it, it is a clever piece to lay around like a tangle sculpture. From the estate of an Atlanta based artist.
CONDITION
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. All the beads are intact though the spacers show some loss of their gold leafed finish as shown in photographs 9 and 10.
