Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry Chrysoprase and Peridot 22 Karat Gold Necklace
About the Item
A gorgeous, bright green necklace made from natural chrysoprase. Perfect to pair with other necklaces or wear on its own. Chrysoprase beads graduate from 7mm to 9mm.
Measures 18" long.
Finished with a peridot hook clasp set in 22k yellow gold. Can be worn two ways; with the Peridot In front or behind.
The Ancient Greeks said that chrysoprase was the sacred stone of Aphrodite, whose sacred colour was green.
Peridot has always been associated with light. In fact, the Egyptians called it the “gem of the sun.” Some believed that it protected its owner from “terrors of the night,” especially when it was set in gold.

Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry
Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry was founded by designer Juliana Domenico (’Ico’) Carr and inspired by her world travels, searching for the most beautiful and unique gemstones to incorporate into her designs. Gemstones have always been a passion for the designer. She spent the first five years of her life in Brazil, a country known for some of the worlds’ most striking and rare stones, and her earliest memories were of playing with giant, loose aquamarines in her mother’s jewelry box and arranging them into designs. Working primarily in 22k matte gold and hand-picked gemstones, Juliana works with master craftsmen from around the world employing ancient gold smithing techniques in the creation of singular pieces that will be treasured for generations. Juliana holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from The George Washington University. She also holds a Graduate Gemology (GG) degree from The Gemological Institute of America and Graduate Fine Arts from UCLA.
