About the Artist: Navajo silversmith Leonard James has been an active silversmith since the 1970’s. He was the resident silversmith for State Line Indian Jewelry and Atkinson Trading Company. Leonard is known for his traditional style Navajo silverwork. Leonard’s hallmark is “L James” in script. Aldrich Art is a cottage industry currently located in southern Colorado. A husband and wife team, Benny and Valerie Aldrich started their careers as jewelers more than 40 years ago in a teepee near Prescott, Arizona. Now, with their jewelry featured in galleries across the nation, they maintain the superior quality of their inlayed jewelry by keeping their business small and true to its roots. Benny and Valerie feel that their purpose in creating jewelry is to express perfection and love for themselves and others using the elements of the land and the sea to capture and enjoy the beautiful side of nature. #JSW70 @ S
