Victorian Orange Chalcedony & Pearl Necklace, circa 1880s
About the Item
A charming Victorian necklace featuring a classic combination of pearls and chalcedony. There are a total of 18 orange chalcedony's which complement the clusters of small natural saltwater pearls. The pearls vary in size starting off at 1.5mm up to 2.3mm and are held in place with string. Holding each chalcedony are two beautifully handmade gold spacers with an additional whole spacer at the end which conceals one end of the clasp. This necklace is a rare find due to its age and the combination of gemstones used. It comes with a certificate by The Gem & Pearl Lab.
